Museum replica of a "Scrimshaw - Fakeshaw" (whale tooth of the sperm whale with carvings); worked according to a historical model; made of "polymer" (also called ivory resin) because it looks very similar to bone and ivory; on one side a figurehead of a warrior with a banner and the inscription "THE BARK LEONIDAS OF BEDFORD" and initials "HCL", the Bark Leonidas of Bedford was a 19th century whaling ship from Bedford, Massachusetts, with the infamous "CAPTAIN JEREMIAH KAY" engraved on the other side; manufactured in the second half of the 20th century; a great decorative object; traces according to age and use; measurements: approx. 27,5 cm
