It features an interesting and historical collection of recipes written in beautiful Kurrent script; the book is slightly more than half filled; one hundred fifty-eight pages of handwritten entries and a few hundred recipes from great-grandma’s kitchen; many old and unusual dishes; signs of use commensurate with age; no loose pages; a small excerpt: Partridge Soup (Rebhühner Suppe), Wasp Nests (Wespennester), Brain Dumplings (Hirn-Schöberl), Health Cake (Gesundheitskuchen), Liver Spätzle (Leberspatzeln), Salzburger Nockerl (Salzburger Nockerln), and much more.
