A wonderful handwritten contemporary document of the Austrian nobility "Edler von Götzburg", with hundreds of signatures - including famous personalities of the time; the book was written during the war years and the post-war period (1921 to 1966) in the house of the Schuller- Edler von Götzburg (Schuller Pension); the entries in the guest book begin at Christmas 1921 with a declaration and inauguration of the Schuller house, with crown witnesses and the signatures of the entire team from the Schuller house in Šumperk (German Mährisch Schönberg in the Czech Republic) and end in Vienna after the Götzburgs moved from the Czech Republic to Vienna at the end of the war in 1945: the family business consisted of the persons: Alice Schuller von Götzburg - Georg Schuller von Götzburg - Stefan Schuller von Götzburg - Kurt Oberleithner Edler von Oberleithner (relative of Eduard Oberleithner - factory owner of the well-known canvas, damask and twillich factory "Eduard Oberleithner's Söhne" in Moravian Schönberg and Max Heinrich Edler von Oberleithner - composer and conductor). - Margit and Emil Krömer and Mama Hedwig Schuller; Hedwig Schuller von Götzburg (widow of Václav Schuller - Doctor of the General Staff), was raised to the peerage for his services with the predicate of Götzburg, she acquired the Austrian title of nobility with the predicate "Edler von Götzburg" on 29 October 1918 and brought it into the family; the coat of arms of the Goetzburgs consists of a tourmaline helmet with red-gold and blue-gold wings; between the eagle's wings a staff of Asclepius; the guest book is a time travel through the war years - we have many signed guest entries from higher society to famous personalities, here are a few details of the contents: on the first page we have an ex libris of Viktorin Schuller Edler von Götzburg; a souvenir letter of Otto Wöllner - Kunast (writer), a signature of Luisa Blyleben (noblewoman) and the Baroness Marianne Chiara who was also a famous photographer; signature of Grete Oberleithner von Würmling; a note quotation of Hermann Leopoldi; an entry for the royal shooting "1934 Heil"; signatures and entries by the artist and graphic designer Hanno Bujatti, Erich Kurzel-Runtscheiner (Kusos in Vienna); Kurt Täufel (chemist and lieutenant), Margit Meissner (Holocaust survivor), Lili Schomburgk (relative of the famous animal filmmaker and film director Hans Hermann Schomburgk) ; and many other signatures. In addition, there are several entries, poems and quotations referring to the time of the National Socialists and the war, an entry with a drawing referring to neodymium oxide (special glass colouring) "Now you too can get a glass made of neodym oxide from the Schuller"; a wonderful entry is a quotation from the famous Karl Schiske (freelance composer from Vienna), whose patroness and sponsor was "Rita Schuller von Götzburg" - Schiske dedicated many of his compositions to her. the Prize of the City of Vienna for Music (1950), the State Prize for Music (1952), the Theodor Körner Prize (1960), the Austrian Cross of Honour for Science and Art (1960), the Austrian State Prize (1967), and the Golden Decoration of Honour of the Republic of Austria (1968) - there are countless other entries and, especially after the war, the guests in Vienna became more international (Venezuela, Japan, England, etc.). ); one reads about pleasurable evenings, meals, remarks on the war, and various bridge and poker evenings; the book is in excellent condition with innumerable entries; in total there are 153 written and signed pages; the leather binding with a magnificent patina and gold printed in Art Nouveau style; partly slightly stained, leather binding.
