This detailed, three-dimensionally crafted pendant made of solid silver depicts Saint George in his iconic representation as the dragon slayer. Standing on an ornamental pedestal, the knight on a rearing horse conquers the dragon with his lance. The statuette is a powerful symbol of courage and the victory of good over evil. Patron saint of riders, knights, soldiers, and scouts. Thanks to the sturdy eyelet, this piece is excellently suited as a classic Charivari pendant for traditional costumes or as a historical collector's item on a chain. The authentic patina gives the figure a wonderful depth and emphasizes the antique craftsmanship. Silver hallmarked, presumably official Austrian hallmark "the letter 'A' and the number '4' on the sides – the graphic center part is indistinct (Vienna, from 1925 ?)" as well as maker's mark "Z.P or Z.r" on the eyelet; signs of use appropriate for its age (see photos); Dimensions: approx. 2.5 x 2 cm / 5.9g
