Two elegant amber necklaces from the Baltics (Baltic Sea); roughly shaped and natural amber beads; butterscotch, honey color to reddish brown. 1x amber necklace braided from 5 strands, multi colored in reddish brown, honey colors and light butterscotch; with screw clasp, total length approx. 51 cm (approx. 98g) and 1x extra long amber necklace with dark reddish brown stones, single row; total length approx. 138 cm / approx. 34g. The amber necklaces have been tested for their authenticity: Saltwater bath > Floats in saltwater - Under UV light the characteristic color is displayed - Upon careful heating the typical resin scent emerges. The fossil tree resin has been one of the oldest and most coveted gemstones since antiquity; amber was attributed great healing powers already in Roman and Persian times; in the Orient, amber smoke was used to strengthen the spirit; to this day, amber is used as a talisman, healing stone, and gemstone and enjoys great popularity.
