Products description
This detailed antique pendant in the shape of a revolver is a fascinating collector's item from the late 19th century. The miniature represents a typical European pocket revolver of that era, as was common for self-defense. Crafted from silver-colored metal, the figure impresses with an authentic patina that emphasizes its historical age. The special highlight is the functional, rotating cylinder. The individual chambers are fitted with small, round glass inserts that imitate the appearance of loaded chambers, a charming detail of craftsmanship. The grip features a fine checkered texture. The pendant has a fixed eyelet at the end of the grip for attachment to a chain or a charivari. It is an unhallmarked metal alloy, no hallmarks; the pendant has not been tested for silver.
The miniature is in authentic, antique condition with clear signs of age and wear as well as a beautiful patina. The cylinder is rotatable, other parts are fixed. Please note the photos: at the beginning of the barrel in the upper area, an irregular opening in the metal is visible where a part of the casing is presumably missing or damaged. The edges are somewhat rough here. This is an age-related flaw that does not detract from the historical charm; signs of use appropriate for its age. The pendant measures approx. 3.5 x 4 cm and has a weight of 6.3 g.
