Products description
This authentic pocket watch by the renowned Swiss brand Doxa is a characterful collector's item from the first third of the 20th century. The case is hallmarked multiple times, crafted from genuine 800 silver, and impresses with its classic striped Art Deco pattern. On the back, there is an unengraved coat of arms shield ready for a personal monogram engraving. The dial is silver-colored with a slight brown tone, giving the watch a special radiance. It is equipped with elegant gold-colored Arabic numerals and matching gold-colored hands. A small seconds sub-dial is located at the 6 o'clock position. With a case diameter of approx. 52 mm and a weight of 68.5 g, the watch feels solid and high-quality in the hand. The case number is 2190527. On the inner lid, the awards of the Doxa brand are proudly immortalized, including Medaille d'Or Milan 1906, Hors Concours Liege 1905, Membre du Jury Paris 1925, as well as the specification Ancre de Precision 15 Rubis. The watch is in authentic antique condition with signs of use appropriate for its age and a beautiful patina. All lids close well. The balance wheel moves and the watch starts running but stops after winding. Accuracy and power reserve have not been tested. The watch has not been cleaned or adjusted. Our recommendation: Like any pocket watch of this age, this watch must be overhauled, cleaned, and serviced by a watchmaker for daily use.
