Antique French Evening Bag, Crafted from Small Metal Beads, France Circa 1920

A fine antique beaded bag from France, crafted circa 1920. The exclusive piece features an elaborate geometric Art Nouveau design with flowing Art Déco influences. The bag was meticulously handcrafted from countless small metal beads in shades of gold, silver, and dark grey. The detailed purse frame is made of gold-tone metal and displays a raised leaf pattern. The model opens via a practical push-button mechanism and closes securely. A matching carrying chain is attached to 2 eyelets, while a fine decorative element complements the frame on the front. A long beaded fringe trim forms the bottom edge. A few individual bead strands are missing or slightly damaged among the fringes, which hardly detracts from the overall impression.
