Products description

This is an extraordinary testament to French perfumery history and a rare find for any discerning collector. An authentic, over a century-old bottle of the iconic fragrance Eau de Toilette à la Reine des Fleurs from the legendary house of L.T. Piver.
Historical Significance (Belle Époque)
Legacy: The scent was first created in 1774 and is considered one of the first successes of the Piver house, which counted Queen Marie Antoinette among its customers.
Dating: This bottle dates from the brand's heyday, the so-called Belle Époque. The address 10 Boulevart de Strasbourg 10, Paris on the label narrows the manufacturing period down to approximately 1870 to 1910. The age is further confirmed by the original cork stopper and the handcrafted bottle structure.
Royal Status: The engraved relief on the back, reading L.T. PIVER above a star order with a crown and the inscription PARIS, attests to the former royal awards and status of the brand.
Design Details and Provenance
Main Label: The black-and-white label is a work of art in itself. It depicts two detailed putti (cherubs) holding flower vases, a motif that traces back to the original Piver house emblem from 1774.
Fascinating Detail: A red rectangular sticker with the text MAISON UNIVERSELLE 1F.60 records the original sales price ($1.60 Francs) and the retailer, Maison Universelle. It covers the central brand emblem, which originally depicted an allegorical representation of the Queen of Flowers.
Dimensions: The empty bottle measures 12 cm in height, 5.3 cm in width, and 3 cm in depth.
The flacon is in impressive condition considering its age. The smaller neck label ("Pour Garantie") is partially rubbed but legible. The main label shows slight scuffing and a small imperfection in the lower left corner, but the graphics and text are intact.
This object is a must-have for collections specializing in French vintage perfumery or objects from the Belle Époque.
The item shows signs of wear consistent with its age.
The bottle is offered without a display.
