Antique Art Déco Corset Perfume Flacon, 925 Sterling Silver, Foreign, Enameled, 1920s

This fine antique corset perfume flacon (Flacon de Corset / Flacon de Sac) dates back to the peak of the Art Déco period, circa 1920 to 1930. Its elegant, slender pen shape, measuring approx. 8,5 cm in length and about 1,3 cm in diameter, allowed the ladies of the Roaring Twenties to carry the bottle directly inside a corset, bodice, or evening handbag. The crystal-clear glass is decorated with a fine black line pattern, reflecting the characteristic geometric style of the era.

The silver screw cap is adorned with blue enamel and retains its original cork on the inside. The cap features the historical fineness hallmark STERLING FOREIGN, documenting the 925 silver purity as well as its import into the British market. A silver-grey textile tassel is attached to the top end. The cap shows a partial enamel chip in one area (see photo), while the glass and the line pattern remain in good preserved condition.
