Antique Pocket Powder Box Khasana, by Dr M Albersheim, Frankfurt around 1920

This beautiful and extremely rare antique pocket powder box by the German brand Khasana from the house of Dr. M. Albersheim (Frankfurt am Main) dates from the 1910s to 1920s. The factory was founded in 1892 and was among the most famous manufacturers of fine toilet articles in the Weimar Republic. The elegant design featuring a gold and blue ribbon motif reflects the delicate style of late Art Nouveau and early Art Deco. Measuring compact dimensions of approx. 4.2 cm in diameter and approx. 2 cm in height, it is a charming handbag cardboard box in the shade "Rötlich".

On the bottom is the original small round label with the shade designation "Rötlich", as well as an old handwritten price note of "45,-". The box is wonderfully preserved: Both the original powder contents and the matching small powder puff with a yellow ribbon are still contained inside. An exclusive and historically significant collector's item for lovers of elegant boudoir decoration; signs of wear corresponding to age; the object is offered without a display.
