Products description

This beautiful and extremely rare antique cardboard box for dry shampoo (Shampooing ŕ sec) dates from the heyday of Art Deco between 1920 and 1935. The extraordinary design features a colorful floral pattern in orange tones, combined with expressive Art Deco typography for the lettering "SHAMPOOING CARA".

Measuring approx. 10.5 x 5.5 x 2.7 cm, it is an unopened original packaging for loose powder dry shampoo. On the back is the French instructions for dry cleaning hair. The box does not have a removable lid, but is factory-sealed—presumably the top had to be pierced or torn open to dispense the powder. Since it was never opened, it is unused and in this condition a virtually unique survival. The piece likely originates from a smaller Parisian manufacturer or a specialized drugstore line of that era. An exclusive collector's item for lovers of unusual vintage graphics and elegant Art Deco boudoir decoration; signs of wear corresponding to age; the object is offered without a display.
