Art Deco Powder Box (Empty) by Mury with Outer Box, Le Narcisse Bleu Bronze, around 1930 Antique, Poudre de Riz

This beautiful and extremely rare antique cardboard box from the legendary rice powder line "Poudre de Riz - Le Narcisse Bleu" by the Parisian perfume house Mury dates from the heyday of Art Deco between 1925 and 1938. The iconic design featuring stylized narcissi on a deep blue background is among the finest classics in French boudoir history. Measuring approx. 5.8 cm in diameter and approx. 2.2 cm in height, it is the classic powder box in the popular shade "Bronze", offered here together with its original, matching square outer box.

On the bottom of the powder box is the original small gold label with the shade designation Bronze, which is likewise noted on the outer box. The round cardboard box as well as the outer box are wonderfully preserved; the powder box in this version comes without powder contents (empty), protective film, or powder puff. Fine cardboard packaging by Mury was produced only during this era up until the end of the 1930s.
