This beautiful and extremely rare antique cardboard box from the legendary rice powder line "Poudre de Riz - Le Narcisse Bleu" by the Parisian perfume house Mury dates from the heyday of Art Deco between 1925 and 1938. The iconic design featuring stylized narcissi on a deep blue background is among the finest classics in French boudoir culture. Measuring approx. 5.8 cm in diameter and approx. 2.5 cm in height, it is the classic powder box in the popular shade "Peche".
On the bottom, alongside the shade designation, is the rare bilingual ASPA seal for the Belgian import market. The round cardboard box is wonderfully preserved. The original powder contents as well as the original protective film are still preserved inside. The box does not contain a powder puff. Fine cardboard packaging by Mury was produced only during this era up until the end of the 1930s. An exclusive collector's item for lovers of historical Parisian cosmetics and elegant Art Deco boudoir decoration; signs of wear corresponding to age; the object is offered without a display.
