Products description
We present a rare historical pair of empty French glass bottles from the golden age of perfumery, approximately 1900 to 1920. These flacons originate from two significant houses and tell the story of a time when perfume became a global luxury commodity. The bottles each measure approximately 16.5 cm in height and 5 cm in diameter.
The Historical Flacons
Lorenzy Palanca (Marseille/Paris): The first bottle, which originally contained a Lotion Végétale Aux Fleurs, represents the simple elegance of the Belle Époque. Since the house ceased operations around 1930, this flacon is a rare testament to its past.
Jn Giraud Fils (Grasse): The second bottle originates from Grasse, the center of French perfumery. It held the Principe des fleurs Eau de Toilette and emphasizes the purity of Grasse floral essences. This flacon is an original piece from the house's prime around 1900.
Special Value and Provenance
What makes this set particularly valuable is its documented provenance and the identity of the glass manufacturer:
Verreries Brosse (VB): The underside of both bottles bears the unambiguous, embossed monogram "VB" in an oval, confirming Verreries Brosse as the manufacturer—the most famous glass house of this era, which supplied the largest perfume brands.
Collector's Sticker: A collector's sticker additionally confirms the origin and authenticity of one bottle, serving as historical provenance. It not only documents previous owners but directly confirms the attribution to Verreries Brosse and the classification as a collector's item. Such markings prove that the bottles were part of a serious collection of historical perfumery items, providing an additional guarantee of their authenticity and age.
Both bottles are empty. Please refer to the photos for details on the labels, closures, and the collector's sticker. This decorative set is a must-have for collectors of antique flacons, Art Deco vanity items, and French perfume history.
The items show signs of wear consistent with their age.
The perfume bottles are offered without a display.
