The objects are made of metal and finished with the finest white guilloche enamel. Part of the fittings is made of solid 935 silver and bears the Austrian hoopoe official hallmark as well as the maker's mark J A. The set includes 2 mechanical clasps with an elegant pearl shaped sliding button. The larger clasp comes with the matching silver element for locking. These mechanisms originally served as high quality closures for exclusive evening bags or cases.
