This fascinating and antique modular pipe from the period around 1890 to 1910 features a colorful oval portrait of King Ludwig II of Bavaria 1845 to 1886 on its fine white porcelain bowl. The depiction of the legendary fairytale king in a magnificent uniform was applied using the traditional transfer technique. Both the pipe bowl and the corresponding original porcelain moisture catch are decorated with elegant gold rims.

The historical cork gasket seals precisely and tightly. The stem consists of artfully turned push-fit elements made of horn, while the mouthpiece was replaced during the 20th century with a robust plastic mouthpiece. The folding metal lid shows light flash rust and, together with the authentic signs of use, gives the object a wonderful history.
