Märklin metal construction set supplement box 101A 1947-1956 Germany

The Märklin metal construction set supplement box 101A offered here originates from the Gebrüder Märklin und Co factory for fine metal toys from the period between 1947 and 1956. This historical toy was produced in Germany and served to expand the basic set 101 to the next larger basic set 102. The construction set is in a played-with condition and is incomplete, which is why it is explicitly offered as a supplement box or spare part donor for restoration projects. The original box is present but shows significant damage and the manual is missing, the tin box for the small parts inside is missing. It is an authentic piece of technical history that despite the missing parts offers a great insight into the metal construction art of the early post-war period.
