Medical curiosity - Old human preparation (teaching aid) - part of the columna vertebralis (spinal column); a real human, medically prepared vertebral bone (thoracic vertebra); mounted on a black wooden base; this curious object has a beautiful patina and was formerly in use as a medical object of demonstration in a school or university; the bone probably dates from the first third of the 20th century.
