Antique Turkish kilim fragment (kilim, rug) for wall hanging; Anatolia, early 20th century (1900 - 1930). Century (1900 - 1930); with beautiful stylised BUKAĞI and ÇENGEL symbols; the BUKAĞI symbolises the eternal devotion of lovers, the ÇENGEL is supposed to protect you from evil eyes; a great piece of ancient nomadic history; the kilim still has vibrant colours for its age, a great patina and consists of two woven panels that have been sewn together; The old eyelets are still present on the back; some seams have already come loose, partially frayed at the edges (see photos); an authentic piece with heavy signs of wear; traces of use according to age; dimensions: aprox. 55 x 130 cm
