Antique bride hood for women; Central Asia, Turkmenistan end of 19th century; made from metal plate; encrusted with 4 big oval carnelians and decorated with red and  turquoise glass stones; inner lining made of hard-wearing linen; wide fabric hanging on back-side, embroidered with silver metal plates and cowrie shells; signs of use corresponding to age; measurements: 18 cm height (without hanging), 700 g; provenance Jürgen Maurer, prominent businessman, art collector and chronicler from Heppenheim (Germany) http://www.kunstsammlungmaurer.de (1939-2018)
