Antique kilim fragment Anatolien 1900 – 1930

Antique kilim fragment (kilim, carpet) for wall hanging; Turkey - Anatolia, early 20th century (1900 - 1930); with beautiful stylised symbols such as. KOÇBOYNUZU and CANAVAR AYAĞI, etc.; the KOÇBOYNUZU symbolises fertility and strength, the CANAVAR AYAĞI stands for the dragon; the old eyelets are still present on the back; a magnificent piece of ancient nomadic history; the kilim still has strong colours for its age, a great patina, the kilim consists of two several woven panels that have been sewn together; some seams have already come loose, partially frayed at the edges (see photos); an authentic piece with strong signs of wear; traces of use according to age; dimensions: aprox. 105 x 155 cm
