Very old Turkish kilim fragment (kilim, carpet) for wall hanging; Anatolia, early 20th century (1900 - 1930); with beautiful stylised symbols such as KOÇBOYNUZU and CANAVAR AYAĞI, and many more. KOÇBOYNUZU and CANAVAR AYAĞI, etc.; the KOÇBOYNUZU symbolises fertility and strength, the CANAVAR AYAĞI stands for the dragon; an interesting detail are the edges, which are decorated with small symbols whose meaning is still to be found out; the old eyelets are still present on the back; a great piece of the old nomadic history; the kilim still has strong colours for its age, a great patina, the kilim consists of two several woven panels that have been sewn together; some seams have already come loose, partially frayed at the edges (see photos); an authentic piece with strong signs of wear; traces of use according to age; dimensions: aprox. 105 x 155 cm
