Handmade saddle blanket 1920-1930

Handmade carpet saddle blanket from Central Asia; around 1920 - 1930; this carpet was handknotted by traditional peoples from Central Asia (Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan) and served to cover the rider's saddle; with embroidery of woven wool and leather insert; the leather insert is embroidered with colourful wool; on the edges on one side with grey fabric fringes; great collector's item for horse lovers or as a decorative object for the home;  
The saddle blanket has been used and is authentic - signs of wear commensurate with its age; dimensions: 81 cm x 83 cm
