Square traditional multan tile with typical blue ornaments; Pakistan / Afghanistan 17th - 18th centuries; floral ornaments; band of lines (hand-painted) on the edges; handwritten note on the back (see photos); Ornamental decors in the typical shades of blue (Kaashi Gari); Museum quality; Multan is one of the oldest cities in southern Punjab and has been world famous for handmade blue ceramics since the Mughal era; the typical “Blue Pottery”, also known as “Kaashi Gari” fragments, were introduced in Multan centuries ago by artisans; measurements: approx. 20 x 20 cm; traces of use according to age; one tile is broken in two and glued; Craquelée, damage and missing parts (see photos); provenance from the collection of the Frankfurt Ethnologica dealer „Thomas Morbe“ - Frankfurt am Main (Germany)
