Old Turkish wooden shoes; Hamman clogs (Turkish bath shoes - wooden sandals) were traditionally worn in Turkish bathhouses to protect the foot from dirty water; handmade; Turkey - mid-20th century. Century; the footbed is ornately decorated; the two straps are present and intact; originally these shoes come from the Ottoman period where they were called "Nalins"; today they are replaced by Turkish "Takunyas" and are also worn outside the bathhouse; traces of use according to age; dimensions: approx. 25 x 6.5 cm (length x height)
