Bienaimé "Lilas" - Rare Perfume Bottle from the 1920s/30s, approx. 30ml, Half Full, with Glass Stopper
A very special rarity from the golden age of French perfumery: the house of Bienaimé, founded in 1935 by Robert Bienaimé after his time as chief perfumer at Houbigant, created some of the most elegant fragrances of the Art Deco era. One of these was "Lilas," a classic soliflore scent that captures the delicate poetry of lilac and is still considered a symbol of French perfume history.
The bottle offered here is captivating not only for its fragrance but also for its distinctive design, which Bienaimé used for several of its floral scents like Jasmin and Gardenia. The shape is reminiscent of a coat of arms, with the original label on the front, while the solid glass stopper bears the embossed Bienaimé logo—a small work of art that embodies the elegance of the 1920s and 1930s.
The bottle holds approximately 30ml, is half full, and is in good condition. The original label is fully intact but shows slight signs of wear and stains that highlight its antique character. The stopper and glass are undamaged, and there is no packaging. Such bottles appear on the market very rarely and are considered sought-after pieces among collectors.
Please note that there are signs of wear consistent with the item's age, and due to its age, no guarantee can be made regarding the quality of the fragrance. The perfumes are sold without a display.
