A Rare Collection of Bourjois Perfumes
This rare set of four original Bourjois perfume bottles brings the elegance and charm of the mid-century to life in one collection.
The set includes two bottles of the Glamour fragrance, released in 1953: a delicate miniature of about 5ml, which is half-full, and a large bottle of around 30ml in a nearly pristine condition. The larger bottle comes with its original box and features the iconic floral stopper, immediately evoking the feminine beauty of the 1950s.
A particularly enchanting piece is the Premier Muguet bottle, approximately 15ml and 7.5cm high. It is still full and has a glass stopper in the shape of a lily of the valley, which is complemented by a fine, original fabric lily of the valley garland and a small seal plaque—a rare find from the 1950s that offers a tangible piece of fragrance history.
To complete the set, there is a historical Kobako bottle from 1936. Although this particular bottle has a fine crack in the glass, it remains a beautiful object. The fragrance itself was composed by the legendary Ernest Beaux, and the artfully crafted bottle is attributed to the traditional glassworks of Verreries Brosse. Even with the flaw, this is a piece of genuine perfume art that will delight any collector.
This collection is not just a decorative treasure but also a small archive of French fragrance history, making it an ideal find for collectors of Bourjois or enthusiasts of mid-century design.
Please note that there are signs of wear consistent with the age of the items, and due to their age, no guarantee can be made regarding the quality of the fragrances. The perfumes are sold without a display.
