This is an exceptional collection that tells the entire story of Spanish perfume artistry. Four rare bottles from Myrurgia, ranging from the golden Art Deco era to elegant modernism, are united in a set that will make any collector's heart beat faster.
The grand highlight of this series is a monumental XL Maja bottle from the 1930s. At nearly 29 cm high and with a capacity of approximately 800 ml, it is an impressive piece that was likely used as a display item in perfumeries. The label features the famous Maja lady with a fan, designed by Eduard Jener and inspired by the dancer Carmen Tórtola Valencia, and radiates pure elegance. The slightly embossed "Maja" lettering makes the bottle a true showpiece.
The collection is complemented by a smaller Maja bottle with about 20 ml of fragrance. It also features the iconic design and is still originally sealed, with only a small amount of the fragrance having evaporated over the years.
Another rarity is the Maderas de Oriente, Perfume de Tocador, bottle from the 1970s. With approximately 40 ml of fragrance, it displays a fascinating detail that has always delighted collectors: embedded sandalwood sticks in the glass, which visually and olfactorily enrich the scent. The Maderas de Oriente line was launched in 1918 and stood for a longing for distant lands and the scent of the Orient—a creation developed by Esteve Monegal himself.
The set is rounded off by the elegant Joya Colonia from the 1950s, with about 60 ml. The name "Joya" means "jewel," and this classic fragrance, which represents the elegant simplicity of the post-war era, looks just like one. This bottle is also originally sealed, with only a small amount having evaporated over the years.
This is a wonderful ensemble of four precious bottles that uniquely brings together the history of Myrurgia from the 1930s to the 1970s.
The items show signs of use consistent with their age. Due to the age of the perfumes, no guarantee can be given for the quality of the fragrance. The perfumes are offered without a display.
