This exquisite collection features ten historical perfume bottles from the house of J. G. Mouson & Co., spanning the vibrant design eras of the 1920s through the 1950s.
The set includes four distinct presentations of the classic Mouson Lavender:
25ml Bottle: Fully preserved with a brass ball stopper, presented in a hinged original box featuring the famous Mouson coach on its Art Nouveau style lid.
50ml Amphora Flacon: Artfully encased in a blue plastic mesh and sealed. A small amount has evaporated, but the bottle is largely intact.
60ml Oval Bottle: Full and topped with an elegant glass stopper.
Refillable Atomizer: A Lavender flacon designed as a refillable atomizer; it is currently empty.
These pieces stand out for their exceptional design and historical context:
Tai Tai (1924, 15ml): Almost completely preserved with its original box. The box is cloth-wrapped and decorated with intricate 1930s Chinese-style graphics, making it one of the brand's classic collectibles.
Men's Perfume (1920s–1930s, c. 20ml): Only residue remains, but the flacon is wrapped in plaid fabric and rests in a highly original box decorated with a tie on the lid.
Bambus Eau de Cologne (1930s–1940s, 12ml): Rare, about three-quarters full, in its original box. This box is further packed in an original trade carton bearing a label and a fascinating handwritten note: "Belongs to my collection."
Mouson Lavender Aftershave (Rasierwasser): From the 1940s–1950s (c. 50ml), this bottle is fully preserved.
The collection is rounded off by two rare miniatures:
Maiglöckchen Muguet (1925, c. 5ml): A rare piece from 1925, now empty.
Chiffon (1950, 7ml): A small flacon of the 1950 fragrance that is still completely filled.
The items show signs of use consistent with their age.
Due to the age of the perfumes, no guarantee can be given for the quality of the fragrance.
The perfumes are offered without a display.
